Voluntary Disconnection

About the Service
Voluntary Disconnection is an option to concessionaires who will not be using the water services from SMWD for a considerable period of time provided however, that he has no unpaid account with the district. Under this scheme, the concessionaire will not receive monthly water bills. If the concessionaire decided to open or utilize his water connections later, reconnection fee of P200.00 will have to be paid

Availability of the Service
Daily except during Saturdays and Sundays, Holiday
8AM – 12Noon and 1PM – 5PM

Requirement
Full Settlement of Account 
Duly accomplished Application for Voluntary Disconnection

Restrictions of the service as per SMWD Board Resolution
Voluntary Disconnection can be availed of on the following terms/conditions:

  • ONCE – if the concessionaire remains disconnected for 12 – 24 consecutive months;
  • TWICE – if the concessionaire remains disconnected for 6 – 11 months;
  • THRICE – if the concessionaire remains disconnected for 1 to 5 months.

 


How to Avail of the Service

Procedure Time Frame Personnel In-Charge
1. Accomplish request for Voluntary Disconnection. 30 minutes to 8 hours for the entire procedure. Ms. Genoveva L. Paje
2. Request for Special Meter Reading if for immediate disconnection, otherwise, wait until the next billing period   Mr. Reynaldo E. Campos
3. Verify unpaid account if any 30 minutes to one(1) hour for the entire procedure.  
4. Pay the corresponding charges    
5. Obtain a copy of Official Receipt from the cashier    
6. Acknowledge the Job Order
